Giving a long-standing community a home.

AANHPI mental health providers in Colorado have always found each other, one referral and one introduction at a time. CAMHN gives that community a name and a place to gather.

Why we exist

Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities in Colorado are growing, and they are underserved by mental health care that understands language, family, immigration, and the particular weight of being the first generation to ask for help. The providers who do understand are spread thin across the state, often the only one in their practice. CAMHN connects those providers to each other.

History

Providers serving Colorado's Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities have been organizing for years, through formal and informal efforts, and we are grateful for every one of them. CAMHN builds on that groundwork: a standing network with a name, a home, and an open door, so that the connections no longer depend on who happens to know whom.

Who runs it

CAMHN is volunteer-run by its members. The listserv, directory, and events are organized by members.

CAMHN works in collaboration with the Colorado Asian Culture and Education Network (CACEN) and the National Asian American Pacific Islander Mental Health Association (NAAPIMHA).

Where the community lives

The listserv, member directory, and event calendar run on Trellis Communities, a platform built for member-run networks like this one. This site is CAMHN's public front door; the community itself is members-only.
